A Minute of Peace is about that rare feeling of stillness within an busy life. A moment where everything has gone quiet, even if only briefly.

Instead of telling one specific story, I wanted to create a scene that feels familiar but unresolved. A space that suggests someone has just been there, or is about to return. The objects, the atmosphere and the little traces of life left behind encourage you to imagine what has happened before and what might happen next.

It could be the quiet aftermath of getting ready, the remains of an evening shared with someone you love, or simply an normal moment that somehow feels significant.

I wanted to leave enough unanswered for the painting to become personal to whoever is looking at it. We all bring our own memories, experiences and emotions to the things we see, and I like the idea that this piece might hold a completely different story for each person.
