The painting that this print is created from is a part of my ‘On the balcony’ series.

The collection is exploring the quiet intimacy of the everyday life. The wintings focus on the often overlooked moments of connection. Set entirely on balconies, each painting captures a snapshot in time, while focusing on themes of solitude, companionship, loniness and loss.

Painting no2 of the series, this piece shows 2 figures sharing an intimate moment with their furry friend lurking nearby. It’s portraying a woman unintentionally ignoring the romantic gesture, and looking into the quiet power of feminine independence in a relationship. She can pour her own wine! It’s a humorous take on intimacy, where love is present, but not her priority.
